Monroe Triad

Triad is a national community policing initiative where law enforcement professionals, older adults and community groups partner to reduce criminal victimization of older persons and enhance the delivery of law enforcement services to these individuals.

Your Monroe TRIAD focuses on all facets of safety needs and concerns of older adults in our community to reduce the fear of crime and educate them on health and safety concerns related to medical issues, home safety, financial concerns, scams and more.

Members of the Monroe TRIAD include seniors, community members and the Monroe Police. Some of the Programs and Activities sponsored include:
• Friendly Caller
• Yellow Dot
• File of Life
• Uniform Fashion Show
• Code Red Announcements
• TRIAD walkers
• K9 Laps
• Robert Wesche Award
• Drug Disposal (Box in PD lobby, DEA drop April & November)
• 911 Cell Phones
• Coffee & educational series
• Scam Prevention / Education

Friendly Caller Program
Everyone needs someone to talk to, especially when we begin to lose contact with family and friends and feel isolated. Cecile Lancia, a Senior Center Volunteer and TRIAD Committee member, will call once a week and create a caring connection through conversation.
Cecile will become a familiar and friendly voice which can keep you connected to community services, events and information.
Cecile does not provide medical or helpline services.
Enrollment forms are available at the Monroe Senior Center or by clicking on this link.

For more information about the program, please contact Veronica Jensen, Elderly Services Coordinator at (203) 452-2815 extension 3.

File of Life
The File of Life is a useful tool to aid EMS responders in case of an emergency. It has all of your medical information regarding your medical conditions, prescriptions, allergies, insurance information and more. This form also is a useful tool to bring to your medical appointments so that all of your physicians are in sync regarding your medical care.
